United Way of the Greenbrier Valley is pleased to announce the release of Academy Park sculptured watercolor framed prints by artist Patsy Gullett.
What is sculptured watercolor? First, the artist creates an original pen and ink line drawing of each of the buildings in Academy Park which include Carnegie Hall, Greenbrier Hall (New River Community and Technical College), The North House, and The Greenbrier County Public Library. The drawings are then printed on a 25% rag paper. Four more prints are hand-cut with an x-acto knife, and the layers are assembled and hand water colored by the artist. Patsy Gullett feels that this original technique, which she calls a "sculptured watercolor", captures the living character of each of the buildings in Academy Park.
Each print comes framed and is 27" long by 14" wide. United Way of the Greenbrier Valley has the exclusive right for the sale of these unique and beautiful Academy Park prints signed by the artist. All proceeds from the sale of the prints will help support partner agencies and United Way initiatives focusing on education, income and health.
