2010 Valley Leader reception was hosted by Kyle & Ann Fort
The 2010 United Way Valley Leader Receptionwas held October 3rd at the home of Kyle & Ann Fort. A crowd of sixty plus major donors mingled throughout the evening and enjoyed the sumptuous food. Campaign Co-Chairs Kyle and Ann Fort took a moment towelcome everyone before United Way president Paul Grist thanked everyone for their generous support of United Way and reminded them that their gifts help fund programs and services of thirty-two agencies and Warming Hands & Hearts, a home heating emergency assistance program.
“Valley Leaders contribute $500 or more to the United Way and make up thirty percent of our total campaign dollars”, says United Way board president Paul Grist.. “And that percentage continues to grow every year. With the economic challenges we face in this years’ campaign, their support is more important than ever. The needs in our community are great and it’s at times like this that we all need to come together to help our neighbors. Since it’s inception in November 2005, United Way alone has provided over $75,000 towards the Warming Hands & Hearts emergency home heating program, and it’s one we need to continue to fund. We are grateful to our Valley Leaders and recognize their commitment to our community and the entire Greenbrier Valley.”
