United Way of the Greenbrier Valley's Second Annual Empty Bowls
Thursday, November 2
Kyle and Ann Fort Arts and Sciences Building at New River Community & Technical College
Empty Bowls raises awareness and money around the issue of hunger in our area. United Way supports local food pantries and awards grants to community partners for their food services programs such as Gwen's Meal and Meals on Wheels. This event will help support those services.
Tickets can be purchased in advance HERE for $25 or at the door for $35. With your ticket you will receive one locally handcrafted pottery bowl of your choosing, soup, bread, drink, and dessert. Local potters have generously donated their work (soup-size bowls) to this cause and local businesses and members of the community have generously donated the delicious food. Live music and a silent auction will also take place during the evening. Come on in from the cold and get a warm bowl of soup and a beautiful piece of pottery to take home!
Thank you to our potters; soup, bread, drink, and dessert donors; New River CTC; Carnegie Hall, WV; silent auction contributors; and the Empty Bowls committee for making this event possible!
