Laura M. Finch earned her J.D. from University of Kentucky College of Law in 2012, and began as Law Clerk to the Honorable James J. Rowe in November of that year. In 2016, Laura acquired the space of retiring practitioner Martin V. Saffer in Marlinton, Pocahontas County, and opened her own general practice focusing in the areas of family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation. She is the appointed fiduciary commissioner of Pocahontas County, the president of the Pocahontas County Bar Association, the secretary of the Marlinton Rotary Club, and serves also on the board of directors for the Pocahontas County Humane Society and the Public Defender Corporation for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. Laura lives in Hillsboro with her dog, Shiloh. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and traveling.
