A Message from the Executive Director

The United Way of Greenbrier Valley plays a vital role in creating positive change within Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas County communities. United Way supports the programs and services of 27 local nonprofits in the areas of Health, Education, and Basic Needs. Supporting Education, we are launching Project Apple Seed, an initiative focusing on supporting public school teachers and aides with the cost of classroom supplies and basic needs items for students.
From after school care for elementary school children to college prep for high school students, from hot meals for senior citizens to medical assistance for the uninsured, from hotel rooms for homeless veterans to heating the home of a family of four, United Way of the Greenbrier Valley is there to lend support to the non-profit organizations in our area that do so much for our friends and neighbors.
Our goal is to create long-lasting changes that promote financial independence, a solid educational base, and healthy lifestyle choices for our community, but we can’t do it alone. We invite you to be part of the change. Together, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow. Whether you donate time or money, advancing the common good requires all of us to work together and Live United. Please join us. No gift is too small. Every dollar raised stays right here in Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas Counties.
You are invited to LIVE UNITED along with us by giving, advocating, and volunteering. Together, we will achieve lasting, positive change. Thank you!
