Paulette Kirby

Paulette Kirby, a resident of Monroe County for 25 years, is the director and librarian at the Monroe County Public Library in Union. Kirby is a graduate of Bluefield State with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and an Associate Degree of Secretarial Science; she worked for Greenbrier Community Action for four years, the Monroe County Board of Education for 11 years, and librarian at the Peterstown Public library for two years. Kirby is also a member of several local organizations, including the Monroe County Education Foundation, Monroe Connections CEO Club, Friends of Monroe, Monroe County Cancer Awareness Team, Inc., and the Union Chamber of Commerce. In 2013, she was selected by library directors to represent small libraries on the West Virginia Mountain Library Network board. Kirby lives in Rock Camp and is very proud of her husband Jackie, who retired from the United States Army with 39 years and 4 months of service, and her daughter Lauren, a student at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. She is enthusiastic about her volunteer service and ready to help.
