Sharon Rowe

President

Ms. Rowe retired as Vice President of Communications of The Greenbrier Resort and Club Management Company in 2005 after 27 years of service at The Greenbrier. A third generation hotelier, she began her hotel career in 1978 following five years on the staff of United States Senator Jacob K. Javits. She is currently a consultant and an alumna of West Virginia University. Ms. Rowe is a former member and past chair of the Board of Advisors of Historic Hotels of America, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, immediate past chair and member of the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association, a member of the board of directors and past president of the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau and an advisory director of the State Fair of West Virginia.

Ms. Rowe is a director emeritus and former chair of the Education Alliance. Her other current directorships include HospiceCare (chair), the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce (past chair), Leadership Council of the West Virginia University Cancer Institute, The New River Community and Technical College Foundation, The Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences, Carnegie Hall (WV) and the Advisory Board of Greenbrier Valley Theatre. She is a Paul Harris Fellow and president of the Lewisburg Rotary Club and serves on the West Virginia Board of Osteopathic Medicine. Ms. Rowe serves on the Boards of City Holding Company and City National Bank.

She and her husband, Judge James J. Rowe reside in Lewisburg, West Virginia.
